‘The Bourne Ultimatum’ is the top nominee for the People’s Choice Awards, scoring four nods including favourite movie and favourite male action star for lead Matt Damon.
Up against the spy thriller for favourite movie are “Transformers” and “Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End.”
“Pirates” star Johnny Depp is also a multiple nominee, getting nods for best male movie star and favourite male action star. He won both categories last year.
On the music side, Justin Timberlake is up for favourite male singer and favourite pop song for “What Goes Around … Comes Around.”
“Give It To Me,” his collaboration with Timbaland and Nelly Furtado, is also nominated for favourite hip-hop song.
Other multiple nominees include Beyoncé, Fergie and Ellen DeGeneres.
Winners in 38 categories, which are voted on by the American public, will be announced at a ceremony Jan. 8 at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.
Actress-singer Queen Latifah is scheduled to host the awards show, which is in its 34th year.
