The line stretched out the door and coiled around the Yonge Street corner on Thursday outside the Eaton Centre, as swarms of fans held their spots intently, and for hours at a time. It was a scary sight, and not in the spirit of Halloween either.

Mel B., also known as Scary Spice of the Spice Girls, met with her Toronto fans yesterday, signed autographs and had them sing along with her. It has been years since the royal heights of Spice Girl hysteria had taken the world by storm, but yesterday’s event was most certainly a throw back to better days of platforms, union jacks and pigtails.

However, the affair at the Eaton Centre, part of a Virgin Mobile event in Toronto, was short lived. After the ex-Spice met as many fans as she had the time to, she zipped back to L.A. to rehearse with the others for their much-anticipated reunion tour.

Scary Spice, along with the other spicy ladies, will be returning to Toronto to perform two concerts in February.
