Has Perez Hilton finally gone too far?

Sony BMG seems to think so, as they have filed a lawsuit against everyone’s favourite Hollywood dirt-talker, whose real name is Mario Lavandeira. According to Sony, Zomba Recording LLC, which is owned by Sony, and Jive Records, Hilton’s blog has leaked over 10 unreleased, and unfinished Britney Spears tracks over the past few weeks.

“The unauthorized dissemination of recordings is a serious violation of copyright law,” a Zomba spokesperson told E! News. “In addition, posting demos and unfinished songs as if they were final versions is grossly unfair to the artist and misleading to the public.”

One might think that Spears fans would be outraged to learn of the premature leaking and unlawful blogger shenanigans considering all of the bad press that Spears has been getting this year, but such is not the case. As a matter of fact, Britney’s camp has decided to release her new album on Oct. 30 instead of Nov. 11 to avoid any more unauthorized previews, so it looks like fans will get their hands on “Blackout,” her album, sooner than they planned.
