An American Premier and a Return to CTV: Season 5 of Corner Gas Kicks Off
Canadian comedy sensation Corner Gas is back for another side-splitting season on CTV. In a new Monday night time slot, following Dancing With the Stars, a fresh troupe of writers join on with familiar Corner Gas veterans Kevin White, Mark Farrell, Brent Butt and Andrew Carr, among others. Emmy Award winner Norm Hiscock and Canadian comedian Gary Pearson have teamed up with the writers to deliver even more laughs this time around.
The past four seasons of Corner Gas have had Canadian viewers in stitches, and 13 Gemini Award nods later, it wont just be the Canucks who get their chuckles. The hit show is now set to be aired in the United States as well, premiering on Superstation WGN on Sept. 17. The following day, Sept. 18, season four is to be released on DVD for those American viewers who need to catch up, and for the Canadian viewers that just can’t get enough.
Corner Gas can be caught on Monday’s at 9:30 p.m. ET on CTV starting Sept. 29, and again on Saturdays at 8 p.m. beginning Sept. 29 on The Comedy Network.
