Lust, Caution at Venice Film Festival
Ang Lee did it again.
His new controversial film Lust, Caution, took the prestigious Golden Lion at the 64th Venice Film Festival on Saturday. This is Lee’s second Golden Lion, as he had taken one with his previous film Brokeback Mountain.
Lust, Caution, starring Joan Chen is a spy thriller set in Shanghai in World War II era with graphic, sexual scenes.
Meanwhile, Brad Pitt received the Best Actor award for his role as Jesse James in The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, set to be in theatres later this month.
The best screenplay went to Ken Loach for “It’s a Free World”
