Rapper REMY MA has spoken out for the first time since her arrest for attempted murder – insisting she didn’t fire any shots.

The hip-hop star, real name Remy Smith, was arrested on Saturday over the shooting of 23-year-old Makeda Barnes-Joseph in New York City’s Meatpacking district. The victim remains in a stable condition in hospital.

Smith has also been charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon. Her sports utility vehicle (SUV), which had been involved in a crash and abandoned, was discovered by cops just three blocks from where Barnes-Joseph was shot twice in the stomach.

However, an indignant Smith maintains she’s innocent.

Shouting at reporters from the second-floor window of her Cliffside Park, New Jersey, home, she said on Monday, “I didn’t shoot my friend! I didn’t shoot nobody!”

Smith was released from Rikers Island on a $250,000 bond on Sunday, according to the New York Daily News.

She has pleaded not guilty to all charges against her.
