THE POLICE’s reunion tour is the hottest ticket of the year so far, according to events agency Ticketmaster.

The reformed Roxanne rockers beat out competition from ice-skating extravaganza Disney On Ice and stage show Wicked to claim the top spot on the U.S. concerts, tours and events chart for the first six months of 2007.

Country star Kenny Chesney, rockers the Dave Matthews Band and easy listening icon Jimmy Buffett also made the top 10.

Ticketmaster’s mid-year chart is compiled from online page views and information requests, as well as actual ticket sales.
