Watts: ‘I Thought I Had Three Months To Live’
ROLLING STONE CHARLIE WATTS thought he had three months to live when he first discovered he was suffering from throat cancer.
The 66-year-old drummer was diagnosed with the disease in June 2004, and has since made a full recovery.
He says, “When I first found out about the cancer, I literally went to bed and cried.
“I thought that was it, that I’d only have another three months.
“You go in there and you’re terrified. All the machines, it’s like space age stuff. The surgeons and nurses literally have your life in their hands.”
