McCartney Lawsuit Dropped
A lawsuit brought against SIR PAUL McCARTNEY by a German woman alleging he manipulated the results of a paternity test has been dropped.
Bettina Hubers, 46, claimed the former Beatle was her biological father following an affair with her mother Erica while the band were playing in Hamburg, Germany in the early 1960s.
The music legend had denied paternity, claiming to have taken a DNA test proving so in 1983, but Hubers accused McCartney of “faking” the test by sending a body double to give a blood sample.
However the prosecution today announced any examination of the documents from the paternity test 24 years ago would not proceed as it would be illegal.
A statement reads, “(The) alleged offence – even if it had taken place – would be statute-barred today. The unenforceability of the statute of limitations is opposed to further investigations.”
