BRANDY is being sued by the husband of a woman killed in a car crash that’s being blamed on the singer/actress.

Awatef Aboudihaj’s spouse Marquane Hdidou filed wrongful death documents in Los Angeles Superior Court earlier yesterday, naming Brandy – real name Brandy Norwood – and another motorist, Mallory Ham.

The documents claim the pair were driving “recklessly and carelessly”, “travelling too fast for conditions” and “following too closely” while on California’s 405 Freeway, and that these behaviours attributed to the collision that killed Hdidou’s wife in a four-car freeway crash on 30 December.

Aboudihaj’s parents filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Brandy in January after police recommended the singer be charged with misdemeanour vehicular manslaughter. They are seeking $50 millionin compensatory and punitive damages.

If found guilty of criminal charges, Brandy faces a maximum sentence of one year in jail and a $1,000 fine, reports TMZ.com.
