Midler To Take Over From Dion In Vegas
Showbiz icon BETTE MIDLER has agreed to take over CELINE DION’s Las Vegas show when the Canadian singer stands down next year.
Midler will begin rehearsals in October and take to the stage for her first performance at the famous Caesars Palace Colosseum venue in February 2008.
The 61-year-old tells PageSix the show may be called ‘The Showgirl must go on,’ and hints she has a spectacle planned: “That Colosseum – it has lots of fun stuff to fool around with!”
