ANGELINA JOLIE may be united with her new adopted son within weeks, a Vietnamese adoption official has confirmed.

VU DUC LONG, director of the south east Asian nation’s Ministry of Justice’s International Adoption Department, said the actress’ application had been speeded up because she had met the three-and-a-half year old on a previous visit to the country in November.

Duc Long says officials expect to complete Jolie’s paperwork by the end of March, meaning she is free to pick up the child anytime after that.

The boy will be the third child adopted by Jolie.

Together with partner BRAD PITT, she is mother to Cambodian MADDOX, five, and ZAHARA MARLEY, two.
