The term “supergroup” has been thrown around after the past few years to describe bands that encompass artists who have made a name for themselves in other bands. Often those bands split soon after teaming up (see Audioslave), are surrounded by uncertainty and rumours (see Velvet Revolver), or never actually take off (see Camp Freddy).

Call them a “supergroup” if you will, but Army of Anyone are not like those other bands. Yes, Army of Anyone is a collection of talented and successful musicians (former Filter frontman Richard Patrick, Dean and Robert DeLeo of Stone Temple Pilots and drummer extraordinaire Ray Luzier).

But they’re different because they’ve left their pasts behind them and profess that Army of Anyone will not disband after their first album (self-titled, released last year). The members of Army of Anyone have plans for many years to come.

andPOP caught up with the band in Toronto to talk about everything from their pasts to the future, from addictions to performing. There’s ass-grabbing, there’s friendly smooching, watch the interview!
