Glover: ‘No More Lethal Weapon’
DANNY GLOVER has categorically ruled out a fifth LETHAL WEAPON film, despite the recent resurgence of interest in 1980s action movies.
The star, who played ROGER MURTAUGH in the police thriller which spawned three sequels, refuses to follow in the footsteps of SYLVESTER STALLONE, BRUCE WILLIS and HARRISON FORD who have committed to new ROCKY, RAMBO, DIE HARD and INDIANA JONES installments.
The 60-year-old says, “I feel very strongly that it’s past its point. Lethal Weapon was a great movie series but it should be left in the 1980s.
“Having said that, if Sylvester wants to revive Rocky and Rambo then that’s up to him. I haven’t seen the new one yet (ROCKY BALBOA) but I’d be very interested to.”
The last Lethal Weapon sequel was released in 1998.
