Anna Nicole Smith has died after she was found unconscious in her Florida hotel room earlier today, a law enforcement source told CNN.

TMZ.com reported that her attorney Ron Rail has confirmed the news.

Smith collapsed in Florida and had to be rushed to hospital, reports indicate.

Smith collapsed around 2 p.m. today at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida, and police had to shut down the streets to expedite her transport, according to the report.

Smith was unresponsive and emergency personnel had to put a tube down her throat, the report continues.
