Injured basketball superstar SHAQUILLE O’NEAL took the law into his own hands by capturing a hit and run driver just hours after his Miami Heat teammates lost a match without him.

The athlete/actor was at home in Miami Beach, Florida recovering from knee surgery when a car reportedly driven by 18-year-old EMMNUEO CIBRIN smashed into O’Neal’s parked Cadillac.

O’Neal and his bodyguard JEROME CRAWFORD jumped into the damaged car and gave chase, finally catching up with Cibrin and his passenger JUNIOR RONDON and calling police to arrest the teens.

A stunned Rondon says, “I couldn’t believe that. Of all the people. I mean, damn.

“He told us to shut up. He said, ‘I don’t want to talk to you right now.’”

Cibrin was sited for leaving the scene of an accident.

O’Neal was sworn in as a reserve Miami Beach Police Department officer in 2005.
