Sly Stone Makes Another Bizarre Stage Appearance
Reclusive funk icon SLY STONE stunned fans in Anaheim, California earlier this month when he joined his sister VET and her SLY & THE FAMILY STONE tribute act for a show.
The eccentric FAMILY AFFAIR singer hit the headlines last year when he made a brief and bizarre appearance at the Grammy Awards, as part of an all-star tribute. He has not been heard from since.
Then, when his sister and former Family Stone trumpet player CYNTHIA ROBINSON performed at the House of Blues in Anaheim on January 13, he showed up onstage.
But his latest appearance was just as odd as his last – sporting his now-famous white Mohawk hairstyle, Stone ambled onto the stage at midnight and nervously tackled his hit THANK YOU (FALETTINME BE MICE ELF AGIN) (corr) before walking offstage. He returned later, according to Rolling Stone magazine, to flash a ‘v’ sign to fans, who were chanting him name.
His sister later told the magazine, “He has been rehearsing with us, and he’s been having a good time.”
