Sharone Replaces Barker On +44 Tour
Drummer GIL SHARONE frantically memorized an entire gig set in hours after being named the replacement for former BLINK-182 drummer TRAVIS BARKER on +44’s European tour.
Barker was forced to quit the tour because the arm he fractured during a video shoot on September 9 failed to heal in time.
Sharone will join former Blink-182 singer and bassist MARK HOPPUS and his +44 bandmates SHANE GALLAGHER and CRAIG FARBAUGH on the tour, which begins tonight in Zurich, Switzerland.
He says, “I played my first show with them Saturday after learning the whole record on the plane ride over to Germany. I’m glad to help the band out and fill in for a drummer that I have a ton of respect for.”
