Van Halen Get Serious About Reunion
VAN HALEN’s Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction seems to have inspired the famously contentious members of the group to get serious about reunion plans.
One-time frontman SAMMY HAGAR recently admitted he feared the group would pull out of any plans to reform for the Hall of Fame ceremony in March, but offered his services to leader EDDIE VAN HALEN, suggesting the guitarist should also include original frontman DAVID LEE ROTH.
And now it looks like Van Halen hasn’t just taken Hagar’s comments to heart – he’s tentatively planning a summer reunion tour with Lee Roth, but admits he’s far from making any official announcements.
Speaking to Rolling Stone magazine, Van Halen says, “Everything is up in the air. We don’t want to say anything prematurely.”
It is not known if the reunion plans will feature Hagar, who replaced Lee Roth in the band.
