Lily Allen: ‘British Celebrities Make Me Sick’

British singer LILY ALLEN has slammed the cult of celebrity – and insists she’d rather not be in “that weird group.”
The SMILE star hates celebrities who think fame entitles them to membership of an exclusive gang, and has criticized those who scour the press in search of stories written about themselves.
She says, “There’s a world of celebrities in the UK and nothing makes you more sick than when you walk into a room of celebrities and they give you this celebrity nod and kind of invite you into their group.
“No, thank you. I don’t really want to be in your weird group. I don’t care if any of those people are offended. The only way that people like that would know if I’ve said anything bad about them, was if they were reading the tabloids to see if there was anything written about them and I just think that’s really sick and twisted.”
