Carson Daly Denies Ryan Seacrest Rivalry
In a bid to see who will reign as New Years Eve top dog Carson Daly denies any rivalry between fellow TV host Ryan Seacrest.
The two return as competitors; Daly hosting NBC’s New Year’s Eve With Carson Daly and Seacrest taking centre stage for ABC replacing New Years icon Dick Clark.
“Dick Clark is a huge inspiration for the huge success he’s achieved. But that’s where I stop,” Daly told a Los Angeles newspaper. “The world is changing. I’m young; I have my own thoughts as a producer. I’m not trying to keep his tradition. I’m trying to do my own.”
Clark suffered from a stroke two years ago.
Clark appeared on last New Years Eve’s broadcast and plans on making another small appearance this year.
