Gus Van Sant Arrested for Drunken Driving
The man behind hit movies including “Good Will Hunting” and “Finding Forrester” has been arrested on drunken driving charges.
Filmmaker and director Gus Van Sant was stopped by Portland police in Oregon early Thursday morning. Police Bureau spokesman Sgt. Brian Schmautz said the 54-year-old Portland resident’s breath test showed a blood-alcohol level of 0.19 percent. The state limit is 0.08 percent.
He was also stopped for driving without his headlights on. It was 1:48 a.m. Van Sant is currently working on a new movie, “Paranoid Park,” in the Portland area.
