Joe Barbera, one half of the Hanna-Barbera team responsible for creating some of the world’s best known cartoon characters, has died. He was 95.

A Warner Bros. spokesperson said that Barbera died at home of natural causes, People magazine reports. His wife, Sheila, was at his bedside.

Along with Bill Hannah, who died in 2001, Barbera brought shows like The Flintstones, The Jetsons, Scooby-Doo, Yogi Bear, Huckleberry Hound and Friends, and Space Ghost to millions of children.

Barbera leaves behind his wife, as well as three children from a previous marriage.
