NASCAR super-racer Jeff Gordon announced this week his wife is expecting a baby.
Gordon and wife Ingrid Vandebosch made the announcement on his website. They’ve been together since 2004 and married this past November.
“We’re obviously very excited,” the announcement on the site said. “Christmas came early for us this year. This is a very special gift for us — one that we’re both looking forward to. The due date is early July, and Ingrid and I can’t wait to be parents.
“We’ve known for a little while, but we couldn’t wait any longer to share the good news with our friends and fans.”
Gordon’s 2006 NASCAR winnings totalled $7,471,447 US, bringing his career earnings to $82,838,526. He’ll likely be able to get a pretty tricked-out baby carriage with that salary.
