Princess Di Concert Tickets Sell Out
If you were planning to buy a few tickets to the Princess Diana tribute concert in London next July, you’re out of luck.
The U.K. Daily Telegraph is reporting that it only took 20 minutes to sell out the tickets, which went on sale yesterday after Prince William and Harry announced plans to hold the concert.
The tickets began showing up on the auction site, eBay, but officials of the site pulled them from sale out of respect for Diana’s memory. The tickets, which originally were sold for £45, were showing up on eBay at prices starting at £300.
The concert is to feature the likes of Elton John, Duran Duran and Joss Stone, among others. Concert organizers say they hope more tickets will be released for sale in the new year.
