Jay-Z and Beyonce may just surprise us this weekend but so far, the offical word is that the power couple are not getting hitched, despite rumours to the contrary.

Word on the street has been that Jay-Z (real name Shawn Carter) and Beyonce Knowles would finally tie the knot in a secret ceremony this weekend after four years of dating.

Earlier this week, the New York Post claimed that the rapper and the singer would use Jay-Z’s weekend birthday party as a cover for what would have instead been an exchanging of vows.

But a rep for Knowles has told Reuters that the 25-year-old singer was not currently planning a marriage to Carter, 37.

The Post had reported that the couple were planning an elaborate scheme involving taking friends and family to Anguilla’s Cap Juluca for a wedding during the four-day weekend birthday bash planned for Jay-Z in St. Bart’s.
