The critical and Emmy award winning reality show “The Amazing Race” has decided to air an all-star edition of the race around the world.

E! Online reports that Rob and Amber Marrino, who met on Survivor all-stars, and already competed on the race, will be one of the couples involved for the season which will air as the show’s 11th instalment.

Other couples are rumoured to include David and Mary Conley, Colin Guinn and Christie Woods and Mirna Hindoyan and Charla Faddoul. Some couples who were apparently not invited back for the all-star edition are not to pleased with the decision that they won’t be participating.

“I don’t want to sugarcoat this or anything, there is definitely going to be an Amazing Race: All-Stars, they will be starting within the next few days and Kim and I never got a phone call from anyone, not from [the executive producers], not from CBS, not from anyone,” Chip McAllister said in his blog on MySpace last month.

“We have run the gamut of emotions. I hate to be one of these kind of people that thinks he’s entitled to be an All-Star—I may not actually, Kim and I may not be All-Stars material—but to be completely forgotten by CBS and the CBS decision makers…it really doesn’t feel good. We could have been contacted.”

The blog was removed by CBS a day after it was posted.

However Chip and Kim are not the only ones upset. BJ and Tyler, the hippies who won last season’s race, also expressed disappointment in a blog posting.

According to Variety, “The Amazing Race: All Star Edition” started taping last week in Miami.
