The Clipse are finally ready to release their sophomore effort “Hell Heat No Fury.” The new album is scheduled to hit the streets Nov. 28 through Jive Records.

The release of the album had been delayed due to legal issues that the rap duo faced with Jive. The Clipse sued the record company for lack or promotion in hopes of escaping their four-album contract. They hoped to join Star Trak, the Neptunes’ imprint under Interscope Records and the Universal Music Group. The suit was eventually settled with a label distribution deal for the Clipse’s Re-Up Gang Records.

Fans had been looking forward to new music since spring, when the track “Mr. Me Too,” featuring Pharell, flew up the hip-hop charts. A new single, “Wamp Wamp” has now been released and a video will premiere on MTV this Monday Oct. 23.

“The album’s limbo was through no fault of our own,” the Clipse’s Malice said. “The battle was between Star Trak and Jive, and we were caught in the middle. And we had to wait until they settled it. And when you’re suing somebody, every step of paperwork takes six months. And before you know it, years have gone. Who wants that?”
