If you’re looking for an alternative to Apple’s iPod, then you may want to check out Microsoft’s Zune, which is now available for pre-order.

According to Engadget, EBGames has begun taking the pre-orders, with the unit scheduled to ship later this year. The Zune player is available in three colours, white, black and brown and sells for US$249.99.

The player features wireless capabilities, a bigger screen and a 30GB hard disk drive.
