They entered together. They left together. They both smiled. But Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie said nothing to the paparazzi as they left Dan Tana’s Steakhouse in Hollywood Sunday night, their first public appearance together in over a year.

Hilton and Richie, best friends since they were kids, have been feuding since early last year, though have never said what caused the rift.

But there they were last night, in a video posted on tmz.com, together again. They didn’t need to speak as their actions spoke louder than words. The feud, it seems, is over.

When they entered the restaurant, the paparazzi gathered were shocked to see them together, and greeted them with flashbulbs. On the way out, word must have spread fast, as the paparazzi gathering had increased and all that could be heard were those flashbulbs. As the girls waited for Hilton’s car, they sat on a bench together and both used their text messaging devices. Richie suggested they go back inside but then the valet pulled up with the car.

The two are rumoured to be part of the next season of The Simple Life. Unlike last season, they will reportedly appear on camera at the same time.
