Teen actress Keisha Castle-Hughes, who gave a breakout performance in 2002’s “Whale Rider” is expecting a baby. Castle-Hughes generated a lot of attention for her role in the film, which earned her an Oscar nod for best-actress.

The agency representing the 16-year-old actress confirmed on Friday that she is pregnant and that the baby is due in the spring. The father is her boyfriend of three years, 19-year-old Bradley Hull.

The Australian actress stars as Mary in “The Nativity Story,” which will hit theatres just in time for Christmas on December 1.
