Reality star Nicole Richie and boyfriend Brody Jenner, of “Princes of Malibu” fame, have split up, reports US Weekly.

“Nicole and Brody are no longer dating but remain close friends,” confirmed Richie’s publicist to US.

“Nicole just wants to be single right now,” says the source. “She felt it was a mistake to jump into a relationship so soon after her breakup with AM.”

Richie had dated Adam “DJ AM” Goldstein for years and the two were engaged before splitting. Jenner had previously been linked with “Laguna Beach” star Kristin Cavallari.
