A family judge in Massachusetts has ruled that Bobby Brown is to be arrested should he set foot in the state.

The court order came after the singer didn’t show up for a hearing on Monday. Brown was to face the court over allegedly failing to keep up child support payments, according to the Associated Press.

The 37-year-old has been in the spotlight lately after estranged wife Whitney Houston filed for legal separation earlier this month.

“Whether or not he’s going through a divorce doesn’t negate the fact that he still owes child support relative to his two children that he had prior to his marriage,” said Judge Paula Carey in her ruling.

According to Kim Ward, the mother of two of Brown’s children, he owes her $11,000 U.S. for two months of support payments.

Back in June 2004, Brown was sentenced to 90 days behind bars after failing to pay three months of child support, but the punishment was put off when he put up the cash.
