Two times last week, a real dead body showed up on the set of TV’s “CSI.”
E! Online reports that the latest body washed up in Miami’s Biscayne Bay, close to a helicopter landing pad where a crew was filming aerial shots for “CSI: Miami.”
The unidentified male body was spotted by a homeless man. He alerted an off-duty police officer who was working as a security guard on the set. Invesigators didn’t find any evidence of foul play, though an autopsy has not yet been conducted.
“Unfortunately, it’s not unusual during certain times of the year that people who have fallen in the bay, either homeless or people who were asleep or in some cases boaters who had a mishap, fall into the bay and turn up days later,” said Detective Delrish Moss.
The second body, found five days earlier, turned up on the set of “CSI: NY.” An engineer came across the mummified body of a tenant in a Los Angeles building, where crews happened to be shooting an upcoming episode of the show.
Police didn’t not suspect foul play in this case, as it was determined that the tenant had died of natural causes a number of weeks before the discovery.
Coincidentally, the “CSI: NY” cast had recently been working on an episode involving the mystery of a mummified corpse.
