Good Charlotte Preps Release of New Album, Goes On Tour
Punk rockers Good Charlotte have completed recording their follow-up to 2004’s “The Chronicles of Life and Death.” Their fourth record, “Good Morning Revival” is due out this February through Epic Records.
Fans will be able to hear the new music before the record release though, when the Good Charlotte boys hit the road for a 21-date tour kicking off Sept. 21 in San Francisco.
The band plans on test driving the new songs in concert while also playing some “old songs from the first record, songs we normally wouldn’t play,” frontman Joel Madden told Billboard.com.
He added that the tour was “a surprise little thing, just for the fans so they could come see us play before we put out the record and the real promotion starts. We feel really fortunate we have the time to do it, and we’re excited about.”
Good Charlotte will also release a new track, “Keep Your Hands Off My Girl,” along with several remixed versions, on the Internet to stir up further attention.
A more extensive tour is also being planned for early next year in support of “Good Morning Revival.”
