Looks like when Mark Burnett opens one of his reality shows to Canadians, we show the reality show guru what we are really made of.
“Rock Star Supernova” finally filled its lead singer spot tonight after a summer of competition and Canadian Lukas Rossi walked home with the spot.
Rossi, a native of Toronto, was considered a front runner at the beginning of the competition, and only ended up in the bottom three a couple of times.
“I just want to try something new. The boys in Supernova, they’re looking for a singer, right? They know I can perform. I just gotta showcase my true voice, not be covered up by the band,” Rossi told the Toronto Sun in an interview Sunday night.
Last season, Canadian JD Fortune won the spot to become the new lead singer for INXS.
Rossi was up against three other competitors: Toby Rand from Australia, Magni Asgeirsson from Iceland and Dilana Robichaux – originally from South Africa, but now living in the U.S.
