New York City’s finest didn’t let 50 Cent off with just a warning when he was pulled over in Manhattan on Friday.

The rapper (real name: Curtis Jackson) had his silver, open-top Lamborghini flagged down by police after he allegedly made an unsafe lane change, according to Reuters. That led police to discover he was driving without insurance, a valid permit, and vehicle registration.

The arrest attracted a crowd of on-lookers who cheered Jackson and booed the arresting officers.

“He just got out of the car and put his hands on the car and they put the cuffs on him,” said tourist Ian Parvess, who videotaped the incident, noting that Jackson initially refused to get out of his car and instead made a phone call.

After being taken to a police station, the rapper was soon released. He faces up to $220 in fines and fees.
