Hotel heiress-turned-singer Paris Hilton was arrested early Thursday morning in Los Angeles on suspicion of drunk driving, according to various reports.

Police told reporters they caught Hilton driving “erratically”

“The officers observed that Hilton exhibited the symptoms of intoxication. A field sobriety test was conducted at scene, and the officers determined she was driving under the influence,” police said in a statement.

Hilton was released on her own recognizance after being booked on suspicion of misdemeanor DUI, reports the AP.

Her publicist, Elliot Mintz, said Hilton had the minimum blood-alcohol level that could warrant an arrest. He said she left a charity event where she had a one drink, and had been shooting a music video during the day.

Her sister Nicky Hilton and Nicky’s boyfriend, Entourage actor Kevin Connolly, picked Paris up from the police station.
