Carolyn Kepcher, a long-time employee at the Trump Organization and one of Donald’s sidekicks on “The Apprentice,” has been fired by the company.

“Mr. Trump wishes her the best,” said the business icon’s spokesman, Jim Dowd. She had held the position of chief operating officer for two Trump golf courses.

The firing was first reported by the New York Post on Thursday. Sources close to the situation said that Kepcher had been focusing too much on self-promotion and her own pursuits.

The firing doesn’t affect the upcoming season of “The Apprentice,” however, as Kepcher wasn’t part of the cast.

The show, which is based in Los Angeles for the first time, will more prominently feature Trump’s children, Ivanka and Donald Jr., as his co-hosts. It hits airwaves in January.
