Lemonheads Return with New Album and Tour Dates
After 10 years apart, Evan Dando is bringing his Lemonheads back together for a new album and a North American tour.
According to Billboard, the band will release a self-titled album on September 26, via Vagrant. Their last studio LP was 1996’s “Car Button Cloth.”
Dando is backed on the new disc by drummer Bill Stevenson and bassist Karl Alvarez, both members of punk band Descendents.
The album also features guest appearances by J Mascis of Dinosaur Jr. and Garth Hudson of the Band.
The touring lineup for Lemonheads will include bassist Josh Lattanzi and drummer John Kent. The band has only one Canadian stop — a December 12 show in Toronto — scheduled so far.
