Jessica Simpson has a new man. She is dating singer John Mayer, according to several reports.

The romance sparked when Jessica Simpson, 26, and John Mayer, 28, attended Clive Davis’s pre-Grammys party in Beverly Hills. Simpson told Us Weekly that she wants to keep the relationship private.

In a recent radio interview, Simpson revealed that she had already heard Mayer’s new album. Mayer’s new album “Continuun” will be released on September 12. Looks like she got a sneak peak before the rest of us.

It’s also reported that the two singers both got laryngitis around the same time, forcing them to cancel their upcoming performances and appearances. Coincidence? I think not.

“She’s tiptoeing back into the dating world. It’s the first stage. She’s never been happier,” said a source, reports People.

Simpson has been linked to many guys, but has never confirmed a relationship since her divorce from Nick Lachey.

Simpson has been promoting her new album, “A Public Affair,” while Mayer has been on tour with Sheryl Crow. Simpson will take a break from her hectic schedule and attend Mayer’s performance on Wednesday in Jones Beach.
