Elton John To Dabble in Hip Hop?
After a career built on piano laced ballads and rock tunes, Elton John says he wants to dabble in another genre of music – hip hop.
MSNNine reports that according to an interview with Rolling Stone, John said he wanted to expand his musical catalogue to include hip hop numbers, and that he wants to collaborate with Dr. Dre and numerous other artists such as Pharrell Williams, Timbaland, Snoop Dogg, Kanye West and Eminem.
“I want to bring my songs and melodies to hip-hop beats – a bit like No Diggity by Blackstreet,” John tells the music magazine.
John admits that the project could be a “disaster,” or “fabulous.”
“But you don’t know until you try,” he says.
