Looks like naked Britney Spears isn’t as controversial as Tokyo officials thought.

The Associated Press is reporting that city officials will allow advertisements for Japan’s version of Harper’s Bazaar’s featuring pictures of a naked and pregnant Britney Spears.

It was reported yesterday that the advertisements were too controversial to be placed in the city’s subway system. The magazine was asked to censor the issue, which they agreed to do.

But Tokyo Metro had a change of heart, deciding earlier today to allow the uncensored photo to appear. Tokyo Metro said it understood the image was to represent a “happy mother” and not to be “sexually explicit.”

“I’m glad the subway officials understood the meaning of the photo,” said Kayoko Higashino, the deputy chief editor of the magazine.
