Actor Kal Penn, best known as the Indian half of movie duo “Harold & Kumar,” has landed a part on Fox’s hit TV show “24.”

Reuters reports that Penn’s recurring role has him somehow linked to an Islamic leader who runs a local mosque. There is also a possible connection between Penn’s character and a terrorist plot.

Aside from appearing alongside Kiefer Sutherland, Penn has a couple other roles lined up. He’ll reprise his parts as Kumar Patel in “Harold & Kumar Go to Amsterdam” and as Taj in “Van Wilder 2: Rise of the Taj.”

His most recent on-screen appearance was in “Superman Returns” as Stanford, one of Lex Luthor’s followers.
