Rehab Time for Darkness Frontman
Justin Hawkins, long-haired squealing singer for The Darkness, has signed up for a stay in rehab to recover from exhaustion.
According to the BBC, Hawkins is currently resting at the Priory rehabilitation clinic after burning out following three years of non-stop work and touring.
Troubled Babyshambles front-man (and the UK’s favourite tabloid target) Pete Doherty is also a patient at the Priory clinic.
Despite the personal setback for Hawkins, a spokesman for the band says that they are planning to release their third album early next year.
The record will be their first without any help from bassist Frankie Poullain, who left as they were putting togther their last album. It sold poorly and was a critical disappointment.
