After an acoustic week, the Canadian Idol hopefuls are down to five.

The top six contestants got to get some one-on-one advice from Juno award winner Chantal Kreviazuk, who taught each Idol how to perfect their songs and their voices.

At the beginning of Tuesday’s results show, the Idols performed with Kreviazuk in a performance of her smash single “In This Life.” Kreviazuk also performed her new single, “All I Can Do,” from her forthcoming album, “Ghost Stories,” which is set to be released on Aug. 29.

The bottom three Idol hopefuls were Craig Sharpe, Steffi D. and Ashley Coulter.

“Half the people were going to be standing, half were going to be sitting. Go down in a ball of flames. Be as big as you can be. Everyone says carpe diem and all that. Go down in a ball of flames,” judge Zack Werner told the bottom three, before host Ben Mulroney proclaimed Steffi safe.

After a commercial break, Mulroney told Craig he was safe, meaning Ashley was sent home. Mulroney told her she had immense talent and a great career ahead of her.

Next week the Idols head to Nashville, where they are working with Martina McBride for Classic Country week.
