Stones Cancel More Dates on Tour
It seems the Rolling Stones are not having the best luck when it comes to their current tour.
At the beginning of the tour, dates had to be rescheduled due to an injury that happened to Keith Richards, and now a concert in Spain has been rescheduled because of Mick Jagger.
The Associated Press reports that the Stones had to cancel their date in Valladoild Monday night because Jagger had come down with a case of laryngitis.
A spokesperson for the band said the date would most likely not be rescheduled. Over 30,000 tickets were estimated to be sold for the show.
“I’m sorry to cancel this show. I’ve always loved to play in Spain, but unfortunately I have no choice and I apologize to the people that have bought tickets for tonight’s show,” Jagger said in a statement about the cancellation.
The statement also said that Jagger was just following doctor’s orders not to sing after he was hit with laryngitis over the weekend.
