Elton John Sets Details for New Album
Legendary singer and performer Elton John has revealed tracklist and release date details for his new album.
Titled “The Captain and the Kid,” the record is a sequel to John’s 1975 LP “Captain Fantastic and the Dirt Brown Cowboy.” The disc is John’s first since 2004’s commercial failure “Peachtree Road.”
Billboard reports that the album will be released on September 19, with lead-off single “The Bridge” hitting iTunes on August 22.
John will play a small gig at New York’s Rose Hall to debut the new material. A tour of larger North American venues (including stops in Vancouver, Calgary, and Edmonton) kicks off September 15 in Sacramento, CA.
