Swayze Defends Mel Gibson
Another Hollywood star has come to the defense of Mel Gibson.
According to the Associated Press, Patrick Swayze says Gibson is a “wonderful human being (and) he is not an anti-Semitic.”
Gibson was charged with driving under the influence a week and a-half ago, as well as reportedly making anti-Semitic remarks to officers, it has also been reported he made sexually derogatory remarks to a female officer.
Swayze chalks up Gibson’s behaviour to the fact that he had just had too much to drink.
“People say stupid things when they happen to have a few, and especially if you don’t drink any more, or have limited your drinking for a long time and all of a sudden you decide to have one too many with the boys, you are stupid,” he told GMTV.
He also said he does not believe Gibson’s current troubles will hamper his career at all, due to his resilence and talent as an actor.
