Ashlee Simpson A Hypocrite
Ashlee Simpson has been labeled a hypocrite by Marie Claire Magazine after first speaking about embracing ones flaws and then getting cosmetic surgery.
In the July article, Simpson, 21, was quoted as saying, “Everyone is made differently, and that’s what makes us beautiful and unique. I want girls to look in the mirror and feel confident,” reports Teen Hollywood.com.
On April 21, after the interview took place and before the article was published, Simpson underwent rhinosplasty surgery (nose job) at an L.A. clinic, contradicting what she said. Not only was her nose altered, but Simpson has also been wearing long blonde extensions.
Marie Claire’s news editor Joanne Coles was furious with Simpson’s decision and wrote in the September issue, “We’re dazed and confused – and disappointed – by her choice, too,” reports Teen Hollywood.com.
Not only did this enrage Coles, but also thousands of fans have expressed their anger by writing to the magazine and bashing Simpson in various blogs on the Internet.
Simpson has not commented on having the surgery.
